Discover Thailand's latest innovation in currency with the uncirculated 20 Baht polymer banknote. This is the official 2024 edition of Thailand’s 20 Baht polymer banknote, bearing the signatures of Srettha Thavisin (Minister of Finance) and Dr. Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput (Governor of the Bank of Thailand). It was first introduced on March 24, 2022 and continues in circulation with updated signature variants. Made of durable polymer, the note includes advanced security features such as transparent windows, color-shifting ink, tactile numerals, and a watermark of the King’s profile. The reverse depicts Kings Rama I and Rama II. A pristine, collector-grade note combining tradition, innovation, and sustainability.

Design Features:

• Front Design: Features a portrait of King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X) in Royal Thai Air Force uniform. Includes red serial numbers, black printed signatures, and crowned royal monogram symbols (Wor Por Ror) to the left of the portrait. A Garuda emblem appears in the upper right as part of a perfect registration feature. Two transparent windows contain embossed and color-shifting "20" numerals. Security elements include microtext, a vertical security thread, and tactile marks for the visually impaired.
• Back Design: Showcases King Rama I with the Grand Palace and King Rama II next to a Thai mural-style image depicting a scene from the Panji tales—a classic part of Thai literary tradition. A matching Garuda emblem is featured in the upper left corner for perfect registration with the front side. A Trishula (trident) in Chakra symbol, i.e., a trident inside a circular pattern, appears in the upper right, set against a detailed guilloché background, representing royal authority and protection in Thai culture.

Security and Accessibility Features:

• Advanced Anti-Counterfeit Technology: Includes clear windows visible from both sides, a dummy security strip with microtext '20 Baht', and unique color-shifting technology from translucent yellow to red.
• Accessible Design: Features embossed "20" numerals in the upper clear window, aiding identification by touch for the visually impaired.

Environmental Benefit:

Part of the Bank of Thailand’s sustainability initiative, the polymer material reduces waste by extending the life of banknotes and minimizing replacement frequency.
